Hi Ho... i'm bck from bintan! It was really like paradise there... we simply buried ourselves in the pool and beach end up we came bck like two lobsters. Below are some of the pics taken there... nice ya? It's really peaceful and relax there... ok let me relate what we have done there. DAY1-11Nov... reach Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal at 12+, exchange boarding pass and waited at the waiting area for the ferry. 1:45pm gate open and we walked a long way to get onboard the ferry. The ferry was like rocking chair... sway all the while to bintan. I am someone who dun really suffer frm sea sick but somehow I feel like i wana puke. By the time we reach there, passed thru custom it's around 3+, it wasn't difficult to find the bus there as there are hotel people holding up the banner and guide you to the bus. Frm ferry terminal to our resort is just a 10mins ride, it wasn't crowded when we checked in the hotel. Our room number is 2222 seems ironic to me.. my hp. no also alot of 22222.. does it mean i must buy 4D when i'm bck? After settling down our room and after exploring what we have in our room, we cooked some cup noodles to eat as we didn't have lunch then changed into our swim suit and cheong to the pool. We swim for abt 1 and half hr before we went bck to our room reluctantly to shower. After tat we were like tv addicts.. watched TV till 8pm.. the place actually received most of our S'pore channels. Isn't it great? Tat Kenneth can watch his Happy Fish and I can watch S'pore idol... as if w go there to watch tv huh?! Anyway, dinner was great and to me not really ex.. we had nasi goreng at the poolside restaurant, it was delicious. Total bill was $38 & was charged to room, we'll only settle the bills when we checked out. After dinner went bck to room to watch S'pore idols then we went out to expore what they have in the resort. There are a few shops selling indonesia handcrafts and accessories and are not cheap, there is also a mini mart selling drinks and snacks... also not cheap. Other than tat nothing much so we decided to turn in early tat night...Zzzzzzz DAY 2-12Nov... Wakes up 8+ had breakfast at 9am... oh ya.. the buffet breakfast is really great, lots of varities and the food taste good. After breakfast we proceed to the beach to take photos... the sea water is alittle choppy but despite tat we still went in for a swim.. hehe... after tat we took a walk along the beach... i wanted to pick seashells but Kenneth stop me, he said must protect the sea creatures.. blar blar blar... Alittle while later, we went bck to our resort to soak ourselves in the pool again. Lunch was cup noodles again.. haha.. we wanted to save the best for dinner mah. Then we changed and went down to the beach again... we heard there is another resort nearby where they have seasports. We follow the pathway and walked for 10mins.. indeed there is another resort there... Mana Mana resort.. it was like a chalet to me. The beach there is much cleaner then the one we stayed... and the sea water is so clear that I can see the sand underneath. We saw pple playing the jet skid and Kenneth suggested we try... went to ask the price $55 for half an hr... wow.. so ex. Anyway after discussing, we decided to try it since we went all the way there and tmr we'll go bck. We walked bck to take $ and unfortunately when we return they said they are closed for the day. Kenneth was quite disappointed but i try to cheer him up by telling him we'll wake up early to play tmr. Tat nite we had international buffet dinner at the coffee house.. total bill $62. DAY3-13Nov.. wakes up 830am, had the buffet breakfast again and quickly proceed to the Mana beach. They just opened and we were their 1st customer.. hehe... we were so excited to play the jet skid.. it was so fun... but they are very strict.. we can only drive to points to points as indicated as not to caused any accident. It was like motor bike to me.. only difference is we are riding it in the sea. Half and hr is soon up... we have to part the beautiful beach... went into the pool to soak again before we return to room to shower then get ready to check out... and say bye bye to bintan. It was indeed a relaxing place to go... so Peng i would recommand you to bring yr kids there for holiday... no hassle at all.
